Not too long ago we received an after hours call from a sobbing woman saying,
“I just took a pregnancy test, I’m pregnant but I can’t have another baby…I need to see someone now”.
We made an emergency trip to see her at the center. She poured her heart out for an hour. We listened.
She thought abortion was her quickest escape – we responded by sharing Christ’s plan of repentance & redemption. We cried and We prayed. She left to consider. Later the news in a text came: “Thank you for your testimony. I’ve decided to keep my baby and go on for Jesus”.
We are on the journey with this momma and countless others. No matter the cost when Christ calls us to rescue, our hearts cry will be “here am I Lord send me”.
Recently we had a call from a woman wanting an abortion. We made an appointment to "confirm" her pregnancy. She came in very distraught and abortion determined. A previous stillbirth 16 years ago left her devastated and determined to never have children. After we performed an ultrasound and seen a healthy looking baby with a strong heartbeat, she was still very adamant that she had to have an abortion. We had a great prayer with her and she allowed us to make an appointment with our doctor. At her appointment the next day, she told the doctor that our prayers worked & she was now excited about the baby. She has since delivered a beautiful, healthy baby boy that we got the privilege of being at the hospital to see just after his birth.
God is so good & YES prayer works. Everyone help us pray that each and every day is effective to save lives and hearts for now and eternity.
